What to see and do in Castelraimondo and Macerata in Le Marche
A surprising territory
Beauty is everywhere
Rolling hills, ancient villages, unspoilt nature.
The territory around Castelraimondo is studded with beauty.
Discovering it will enrich and complete your stay at the Borgo, which is already directed towards deep regeneration.

For me, Le Marche is the East, the Orient, the sun that comes at dawn; the light of Urbino in the summer...

San Severino
A stroll through churches, castles and secular trees
Strongly marked by its towers and bell towers, nestled among the rolling hills of Macerata in the Potenza valley, San Severino is a testament to the history and traditions of the Marche region.
The upper part is one of the most evocative areas, with the ancient cathedral, the Civic Tower and the Archaeological Museum, which fascinates with its Piceno and Roman finds.
The current centre is located downstream and develops around the large, harmonious Piazza del Popolo, elliptical in shape, entirely covered with porticoes, one of the most beautiful and suggestive in the Marche region.

The Jana Gorge
A lovely gorge, like a fairy tale, framed by the Monte San Vicino and Monte Canfaito Nature Reserve and consisting of a splendid sequence of leaps.
Its waters gather in small crystalline pools, painting a magnificent picture teeming with life.

Tibet in the Marches
Elcito, a village perched at the foot of Monte San Vicino.
The surrounding landscapes and the conformation of the village itself, which seems to be carved in the rock, make this place truly suggestive.

Matelica
Discovering the homeland of Verdicchio
Lying in the Esino valley, between Mount San Vicino and the Sibillini Mountains, where the Verdicchio vines grow, Matelica is renowned for its wine production and fine honey.
The fulcrum of the town is Piazza Enrico Mattei, dedicated to the founder of ENI who lived here, and at the centre of which is a monumental fountain from the 16th century.
Some of the town’s principal buildings also flank piazza Mattei: the Palazzo del Governo, the Torre Civica, the Palazzo Comunale and the Renaissance Palazzo Ottoni.

Li Vurgacci
This route, which winds along wooden bridges and footbridges, combines the beauty of nature with proximity to the town's historic centre.
It starts where the waters of the Potenza river cross Pioraco, in a place where, almost magically, waterfalls, gorges, ditches and ravines created by years and years of erosion come to life.
